The Top Story From Each Console
Playstation Network News:
Latest PSN Blog update: I know you all want to know exactly when the services will be restored. At this time, I can’t give you an exact date, as it will likely be at least a few more days. We’re terribly sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through this process.
So from this I should assume your wait is going to be soon over and you can get back to the all important gaming... However... There is also the information going round that the PSN is not going to be back up until the 31st of may, so you might also be in for a wait.  Unless you defected to the other side and have been gaming already... Yes?... No?...

New Xbox 360 Dashboard:
Yes according to a Microsoft Tech Support Employee the new Xbox 360 Dashboard update will be coming to you on May 19th and will be distributed in six separate groups  between May 19th - May 30th "to ensure high quality deployment."
It will bring with it an Anti Piracy Measure, Support for a new disc format known as XGD3 and it allows for Additional Storage space and further layers for copy protection.
It will also enable expanded PayPal Support on the console for new international markets, which will be the only "user-facing feature" of the product.

Wii 2?
Yes the rumours are true and Nintendo are to announce the new Wii at the next E3 in June. The Official statement on Nintendo's investors website confirming that the unnamed Wii successor will arrive next year:
"Nintendo Co., Ltd has decided to launch in 2012 a system to succeed Wii... we will show a playable model of the new system and announce more specifications at the E3 Expo, which will be held from June 7-9, 2011, in Los Angeles."
According to O1net.com the Wii could be powered by a three-core IBM Power PC Chip, Feature an ATI R700 GPU for 1080p/3D visuals and a unique Gamepad with a 6.2-inch touchscreen, dual analogue sticks and a built in camera.
It would also be backwards compatible with the current Wii and its motion sensing peripherals. This would make the Wii 2 faster than the Xbox360 and PS3.
Also there is news that the Wii name could not be carrying on and a possible other name "Steam" could be taking over but nothing is certain yet.
